CANINE DENTISTRY

We strongly recommend taking your dog to a veterinary dental specialist should they require dental extractions.

Veterinary specialists receive several additional years of training in dentistry, on top of their veterinary schooling, making them much better equipped to diagnose and treat your pet's mouth.

Did you know...

Veterinary dentists use nerve blocks to numb the mouth. This allows for a faster recovery and lighter, safer sedation.

If you are unsure if your veterinarian is equipped for advanced dentistry, discuss their techniques and whether they perform dental nerve blocks.

We also recommend ensuring that dental x-rays are being performed before and after dental procedures.
